A Reunion of Retired Faculties – Alumni of GCC

The Alumni Association of Government College, Chittur (AAGCC) organized a memorable event, Acharya Sangamam, on March 14, 2025, at the M.G. Hall of GCC. This special gathering brought together former teachers and alumni of Government College, Chittur, for a nostalgic and inspiring reunion. Former teachers took the stage to reminisce about their cherished experiences at the college, sharing heartfelt stories that transported everyone back to their days on campus. They expressed their deep appreciation for the efforts of the AAGCC in organizing the event and unanimously voiced their desire to make this reunion an annual tradition.

A highlight of the evening was the honoring of Dr. K. Omanakkutty, a renowned musician and former teacher of GCC, for her extraordinary achievement of receiving the Padma Shri Award in 2025. Her contributions to music and education have brought immense pride to the GCC community, and the event served as a fitting tribute to her remarkable journey.
